Chem-E-Car Competition
The Chem-E-Car Competition®, invites college students to design and create their own car that will be powered by a chemical energy source. In each round, the device will safely run a specify given distance and stop.

It involves several regional contests leading up to a final event at the Annual Student Conference, where awareness of the chemical engineering field is increased among attendees.

Chem-E-Car Poster Competition
​A poster board accompanied by the vehicle of each participant must be displayed during the competition. It should explain the car's chemical power source, highlight its unique features, and detail its environmental and safety aspects. Additionally, documentation on the vehicle's design and testing must be available for judge inspection during the poster competition.
​Design creativity, as well as quality of the poster and team member presentations are crucial aspects judges look forward to.

ChemE Jeopardy is a trivia competition utilizing questions from Chemical Engineering Undergrad Coursework. Each team is formed by a maximum of four players and up to three teams participate in each game. In these, responses should be given in the form of a question.

The Championship teams from each of the 14 Student Regional Conferences go on to compete at the Annual Student Conference in the Fall to determine the Champion school for the year.

Student Technical Presentation Competition
Presentations often focus on recent advances in some branch of chemical engineering, original research, or plant design. Papers, whose subject is left entirely to the individual student, will be presented to a panel of judges who will select the top three papers. Participation in the Regional Student Paper Competition offers valuable, real-world experience for students.

The first-place winners from each Regional Student Paper Competitions present their prize-winning papers in AIChE's Annual Meeting.
